ECPA is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those affected by cerebral palsy through Funding Assistance. Helping with the financial aspects of purchasing essential equipment that will improve the lives of our members.

  • Funding Coverage: We fund equipment or home modifications that assist daily living. This includes mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers adapted bikes), communication devices like iPads and computers, specialty car seats, and adapted vans, lifts, and ramps for the home.

  • Insurance Check: Check with your insurance provider as they may cover any or all costs.

  • Additional Funding: Some requests are beyond our limit that we can fund. We suggest you seek funding from other agencies if possible.

  • Funding Limitations: Funding is limited and not guaranteed. Approval depends on available funds and may not cover items eligible through insurance or group benefits. Additional information may be requested by the Funding Request Committee.

  • Not covered: We do not provide any funding to programs or health services.

How to apply for funding

  • Form Completion: Fill out the request form. Include your quote(s) Missing information will delay your request.

  • Review Process: Your request will be reviewed at the next Funding Request Committee meeting. You will be notified of the decision by phone or email.

  • Supplier Coordination: If approved, we will work directly with suppliers whenever possible and will send them a cheque directly.

  • Previously Purchased Equipment: Funding for equipment already purchased may be approved if your request is submitted within 30 days of purchase. Include receipts with your request.

  • Receipts Submission: If funding is paid directly to you, send equipment purchase receipts to the ECPA office within two weeks of purchase. Retain a copy for your records.
